'After finally making an overdue return to the live circuit last year (2024), they dropped single 'Nothing to Fear', which showcased their tuneful knack of combining sweet HamSandwich-type vocal harmonies with the folky storytelling of Jason Isbell.

All about the Southern Fold…

Formed in Kilkenny, Ireland in 2014, The Southern Fold have been described as 'Dark Folk', 'Gothic Country' & 'Alt. Country'. Whatever you want to call it, they've been playing it since 2014 in venues all around Ireland and in visits to the UK and Germany.

Taking inspiration from artists such as Hank Williams, Uncle Tupelo and Nirvana, the band have released an EP (A True Ascension from the Wayward Path) in 2016 and a full length album (Bible Fear) in 2019.  Interest from German record label Juke Joint 500 resulted in the release of their live album '5(+2)Live' in 2025. They are currently putting the finishing touches to a brand new album scheduled to be  released on Juke Joint 500 in October, 2026.
